Learning To Let

The Letting Go Is Where's It's At

MOTIVATION

Preservation

Self-motivation is the invisible force that transforms dreams into reality, turning ordinary people into extraordinary achievers. When you develop the ability to drive yourself forward without external pressure, you unlock a superpower that makes you unstoppable. Personal growth isn't just about learning new skills—it's about discovering that you have the power to rewrite your story, push through discomfort, and become the person you're meant to be, one deliberate choice at a time.

THE ART OF STRATEGY

The Art Of Strategic Quitting: The Giving Up Is Your Best Move Forward

We're taught that quitting is failure, but some of the most successful people are master quitters. They quit jobs that drain them, relationships that diminish them, and habits that no longer serve who they're becoming. The real skill isn't perseverance—it's knowing when to walk away. 🚀

This Week’s Reality Check

Look at your current commitments and ask yourself: "If I weren't already doing this, would I choose to start it today?" That volunteer position you dread, the social obligation that feels hollow, the project you're only continuing because you've already invested time—sometimes the sunk cost fallacy keeps us trapped in mediocrity.

Strategic quitting isn't about being flaky or giving up at the first sign of difficulty. It's about protecting your most valuable resource: your attention. Every "yes" to something that doesn't align with your growth is a "no" to something that could transform you. The opportunity cost of staying in the wrong place is enormous.

Think about this: What would happen if you gave yourself permission to quit something this week? Not out of laziness or fear, but out of clarity about what actually deserves your finite energy. Sometimes the most courageous thing you can do is disappoint people by choosing yourself.

What are you ready to strategically quit?

WRITING SPACE

The Reveal

“In the reveal there’s something still hidden, to be uncovered, shared, unearthed, offered. It’s a part of how we all show up. We are partially hidden or actively hiding something, an aspect of ourselves, a truth, a little piece of our deeper humanity. We give of ourselves, but how often do we give completely? Even those we are the closest to may be int he dark or waiting for us to reveal……..”

How do you stay productive? What habits work?

We all are doing what we can to make habits stick. We have our routines and little practices that help push the needle forward. So want to know if there is one habit you find that helps more than others? Which is your go to when you launch a new project? Are you making lists? Are you putting it in the calendar? How do you fire up that launch?

Productivity isn’t about how much you crank out. Ultimately, it’s about habits and mindset.

FUNNY STORY

When I Finally Scrolled All The Way Down

Ava with Milo in their van

I’ve been getting annoyed with my phone cause it kept buzzing and beeping. And this caused me to miss a very important engagement cause in my frustration I accidentally turned off ALL notifications which as you know we desperately need these days with age.

I was mentally preparing myself to go deal with the 19 year old at the Genius Bar when I scrolled to the very bottom to discover I had signed up for meditation alerts and was getting pinged every 3 hours.

The moral of the story - If you’re signing up for something that’s going to help you relax and chill - Pause, Breathe, Slow Down and LET IT!
