Making Nano Moves

The Architecture Of Change

⁉️ January 7th? 2025❓️🤔

How did we get here?

Another year is upon us and of course we want to navigate it with both wisdom and purpose.

So I’d like to offer a little something for doing just that, some food for thought along with a little inspiration to move you towards all that you’ve got planned or are hoping to accomplish.

I know last week we talked about not setting big lofty goals, but doing a Curiosity List instead which is a great way to go about the start of the year minus all the pressure and heat we put on ourselves.

Here’s a little gander at what that curiosity list might entail -

“…..instead of a resolution, consider creating a "curiosity list" for 2025 - things you're genuinely interested in exploring or learning about, without the pressure of hardline goals. It could be anything from "I wonder what fermentation is all about" to "I'm curious what it feels like to write poetry."

The beauty of a curiosity list is that it's personal growth from a place of interest rather than obligation. Unlike resolutions that far too often feel like we're fixing flaws ("I should exercise more"), a curiosity list invites playful exploration ("I wonder what rock climbing feels like").

……..let this be your invitation to open up to more possibilities and wonderment…….

This is not about a big to do for the new year because life has taken me somewhere else and I’m just not doing all that. You may find yourself right there with me.

I am finding relief in taking a different approach which is more of an opportunity to slow down and let it flow to me rather than making a massive effort to manifest this and that.

The Architecture Of Change

So I want to consider how small, deliberate choices compound into transformative shifts. And mind you this is not through grand gestures, but through the quiet persistence of revising our habits and renewing our tired old perspectives.

What have we been holding on to, what are we perpetuating that is not moving the needle of progress?

Auditing Automation

Examine your everyday decisions that you've surrendered to habit or convenience.

Which of these merit conscious reconsideration? Consider how your morning routine, information consumption, or relationship patterns might be serving past versions of yourself rather than your current aspirations.

Remember this is not an intimidation tactic for big huge goal setting, but rather a way to slow down to go inward into a quieter space of reflection so you can actually get more of what you want.

Where Attention Goes…..

In an age of infinite inputs, what deserves your finite focus?

Here’s a little challenge to consider: Inventory where your attention flows and whether these investments align with your greatest values and ambitions.

What do you spend the most amount of time on? How’s it coming along? Do you feel like you are flowing with it or pushing something to happen? Does it feel calm and steady or forced and hurried? Do you feel satisfied or stressed?

From Consumption To Creation

Now let me ask you - What knowledge, experience, or insight have you accumulated that's ready to be transformed into contribution?

What do you know that we don’t? What can you offer us or your immediate world that will feed you and pour love out into your community?

Where have you been collecting wisdom that could now serve others?

In Closing

Instead of planning and lining up all the steps we need to take let’s illuminate our own relationship between reflection and action - how does having clarity of thought precede your clarity of purpose.

Coming at it in this way helps you be both contemplative and figure out the very best way to concrete application.

And with this I wish you a wonderful new year full of possibilities, abundance and wonderment.

With Love,

Sue
