The Myth of Emotional Readiness

What if I told you’ve we've been sold a lie about readiness? The self-help space is constantly whispering that you need to feel prepared and emotionally equipped before taking any kind of meaningful action.
But here's what I've learned: emotional readiness isn't a prerequisite for growth—it's a byproduct of it. The people who wait to feel ready often wait forever, while those of us who act despite our unreadiness discover that courage isn't the absence of fear, but the willingness to move forward with it.
Think about the last time you felt truly ready for something significant—your first job, moving cities, having a difficult conversation. Chances are, you weren't ready at all. You were terrified and uncertain right up until you did it anyway. Yet in the doing, you found the readiness you thought you needed beforehand.
Here’s the big aha -
We don't think our way into new ways of being; we act our way into new ways of thinking.
The myth of emotional readiness keeps us trapped in endless preparation cycles, mistaking sophisticated procrastination for progress. What we call "not being ready" is a lot of times just our psyche's natural response to growth—because expansion and true growth requires stepping into unfamiliar territory where our old patterns don't apply and will not work.
This week's lesson:
Your unreadiness isn't a stop sign; it's a compass pointing toward exactly where your growth lies.
What action have you been postponing until you feel more ready? What if that feeling of unreadiness is actually the signal that you're on the right track?
Ok - now a big sigh of relief. Nothing to do. Nothing to stress out about. You’re there. You’re already there. Exactly where you are supposed to be. Just let go of all the pressure and stress…….There’s no where else to be, but where you already are.
